The Accommodation

Evolve acts as a social lettings agency providing good quality and affordable private accommodation with integrated support. Evolve manages a wide range of private rented accommodation across Norfolk. This enables us to ensure we can provide safe and comfortable accommodation of a high standard where the service user wants to live.

The accommodation may be sole occupancy, shared accommodation with floating support, or shared accommodation with integrated support via a peer landlord. It is our aim that, over time, our service users will achieve the skills required to manage their tenancies successfully, thus allowing them to remain evolve tenants even when the organisation is no longer actively supporting them in other areas. The size of our housing stock means that we can, if asked to make a long-term commitment to our tenants, to provide accommodation opportunities as their lives move on and accommodation needs change.

Floating support

The organisation provides floating support to service users living within the community in their own independent accommodation. These service users are vulnerable primarily due to suffering from a significant mental health condition. The practical and emotional support Evolve provides, enables service users to live independently. All service users have a specific link worker and together the link worker and the service user along with other relevant professionals will devise an individual support plan. Where appropriate this will also include the service user’s family both in terms of their views and the support they offer. The support plan is reviewed at regular intervals to monitor progress and adjust the plan as necessary.

Direct support work often focuses on three key areas :-

  1. Housing: Helping people to access suitable accommodation, be a good tenant and manage their home environment.
  2. Health: Helping people to stay well, including improving physical, mental health and wellbeing.
  3. Community: Helping people to find their place in the community, through positive engagement/contributing to the community and building a support network , this includes family work.
